It has been an excellent day on the Caledonian Canal. We started out with a scandi race between a wacky danish crew member and the Swedish boat to the lock Gairlochy. At first it looked bad for the running crew as she couldn’t catch up with the boat but luckily the joker, a swing bridge, was not opened and the crazy Viking won the race.
Loch Lochy was absolutely beautiful and then we made it to our goal to reach Fort Augustus so we could have a great dinner at The Loch inn, and a bit of a pub crawl around fort Augustus to see if we could consume the local Talisker stores.
